A BILL to amend article one, chapter five-b of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated section seventeen-d, relating to the division of tourism and parks; and discounts for West Virginia residents at state parks and other facilities.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article one-a, chapter five-b of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section seventeen-d, to read as follows:

ARTICLE 1. DIVISION OF TOURISM AND PARKS.

§5B-1-17d. Discounts for West Virginia residents.
The commissioner shall provide to West Virginia citizens who document residency by a valid West Virginia driver's license, a twenty-five percent reduction in fees for all recreation and lodging in state parks and state forests, and to West Virginia citizens who are sixty-two years of age or older, and who document residency and age by a valid West Virginia driver's license, a thirty-five percent reduction in fees for all recreation and lodging in state parks and state forests.




NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to give all West Virginia residents discounts for lodging and recreation in state parks and state forests.
